Naming Conventions

The term RonDB refers to all parts including the RonDB data nodes, the MySQL Server, the NDB storage engine, the NDB API, ClusterJ and the NDB NodeJS API. When we use the term NDB we specifically refer to the NDB storage engine and its data nodes.

Sometimes when we discuss the history, we refer also to NDB instead of to RonDB.
